Dr. Prapas Pothongsunun
Mae Ping (named after the river that runs through Chiang Mai) Physical Therapy Clinic, or MPPT, was founded by Dr. Prapas Pothongsunun (PhD and DPT from New York University) who served as former head of the Physical Therapy Department at Chiang Mai University.
This workshop on Myofascial Management is crafted to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in understanding and addressing myofascial issues. Participants will delve into the intricacies of myofascial release techniques, learning how to assess and manage muscular and connective tissue restrictions effectively. By the end of the workshop, attendees will not only gain a deep understanding of myofascial anatomy but will also acquire hands-on proficiency in applying therapeutic interventions to enhance overall well-being and physical function.
Currently, this private practice focuses primarily on hydrotherapy and rehabilitation with adult populations in the area. Dr. Prapas’ wealth of knowledge of both ‘western’ and Thai traditional healing afford MPPT the ability to serve a diverse group of patients, hosting training for young practitioners and rehabilitation specialists alike.
Gain practical knowledge through observation about PT rehabilitation techniques
Build critical thinking skills through comparative analysis of rehabilitation techniques
Practice a modified Myofascial technique particular to MPPT and Thailand.
